In the Kohl's dressing room...alone
Hi, Kristin here, alone, while my girl is in a ballet summer intensive in Carlisle, PA. If you follow us on social media you know that I just dropped her off and on Sunday I had an entire day to kill, ALONE (yes, I will be using that word a ton while my bestie is away), so off I went to do a try on at Kohl's. There is not much shopping to be had in Carlisle so finding a Kohl's to stroll around for a few hours was like finding a pot of gold!!!
I was pleasantly surprised by the LC Lauren Conrad line Kohl's has right now. There are so many on trend styles on the racks so I grabbed a handful of things and headed to the dressing room.
One of my favorite pieces that I tried on was the button front jumpsuit (no surprise there!) for several reasons. First, no back zipper, which is so nice when trying to wrangle your self out of the jumpsuit to go potty. Second, pockets and third, lightweight for the boiling Las Vegas summer. It may be slightly sheer in just the right light but it was one of those things that I kept trying to see my panties through it but couldn't quite. It was a smidge large on top around the armpits but not enough for me to put it back on the rack. Next, this smocked, tie-shoulder dress is really the most dreamy thing I have ever tried on at Kohl's and the fit was so very good! My only complaint was do I get the white or the yellow gingham. Really, this dress is that good!
Other LC Lauren Conrad items I am currently loving are:
-this dreamy summer sweater stole my heart;
-a perfect tiered maxi in gingham and white...oh wait that yellow stripe;
-wide leg pants in the prettiest melon color (run big so size down); and
-the must have purse of the summer!
And from the Juniors section because I always shop that section with my partner:
-the softest tank by Kohl's So brand was a must have in stripes that is also a must have; and
-these Unionbay shorts for throwing on after work, walking the dogs and maybe hitting up an amusement park or two this summer!
I may have popped into the shoe department to peruse some Nike's and, for lack of a better term, FELL IN LOVE! Now, I know you can't use coupons on Nike's at Kohl's but you CAN use Kohl's cash and I will be saving up mine to buy up these babies.
These Nike Quest SE running shoes are light as air, so comfortable I didn't want to take them off and can you even with that lotus swish?
These are my dream Nike's and if you buy online and ship to store, Kohl's will add $5 to your Kohl's cash wallet. This means these shoes are in my cart!
This was my day at Kohl's without my girl. Not at all the same experience but there is nothing like retail therapy to get you through your sadness.
